The Titleist Vokey Design SM9 Wedge Set delivers exceptional spin, precise distance control and outstanding versatility around the greens. Designed by master craftsman Bob Vokey, the SM9 range combines tour-proven shaping with advanced groove technology and progressive centre of gravity positioning.
This three-wedge set includes a 50° Gap Wedge (08F), 54° Sand Wedge (14F) and 60° Lob Wedge (04L), providing a versatile combination for approach shots, bunker play and delicate greenside shots.
Progressive Centre of Gravity Technology
The Vokey SM9 features an advanced Progressive Centre of Gravity (CG) design, engineered to optimise trajectory and distance control throughout the wedge range.
In higher-lofted wedges, the CG is positioned higher and further forward to encourage a lower, more controlled ball flight.
This helps golfers achieve consistent launch conditions, improved distance control and a solid, responsive feel at impact.
Spin Milled Groove Technology
The SM9 incorporates Vokey's precision-engineered Spin Milled Grooves, designed to generate maximum spin and stopping power.
Each groove is individually cut to suit the wedge's loft, while additional face texture helps increase friction on partial shots.
A specialised heat treatment strengthens the impact area, improving groove durability and helping maintain spin performance over time.
50° Gap Wedge – 08F Grind
The Vokey SM9 50-08F features 50° of loft and 8° of bounce, making it an excellent choice for controlled approach shots and consistent distance gapping.
Its traditional F Grind features a full sole designed for stability when playing shots with a square clubface.
The relatively low bounce suits golfers with a shallow-to-neutral angle of attack, particularly from firmer turf conditions.
This wedge is ideal for full swings, three-quarter approaches and controlled pitch shots.
54° Sand Wedge – 14F Grind
The Vokey SM9 54-14F combines 54° of loft with 14° of bounce, providing excellent forgiveness and stability through impact.
Its high-bounce F Grind features a traditional full sole that helps prevent excessive digging, particularly on softer turf and sand.
This makes it a dependable option for golfers with a steeper angle of attack or those who prefer a stable sole through the hitting area.
The 54-14F is particularly effective for bunker shots, approach shots and controlled pitches.
60° Lob Wedge – 04L Grind
The Vokey SM9 60-04L features 60° of loft and just 4° of bounce, offering excellent versatility for delicate shots around the greens.
Its specialised L Grind incorporates a narrow sole with heel, toe and trailing-edge relief, allowing golfers to open the clubface and manipulate loft.
This low-bounce design is particularly effective from firm turf and tight lies, where precise contact is essential.
The 60-04L is ideal for high-lofted pitches, flop shots and creative greenside play, especially for golfers with a shallow angle of attack.
Versatile Three-Wedge Combination
The combination of 50°, 54° and 60° lofts provides a practical setup for covering different approach distances and short-game situations.
The 50-08F offers controlled distance and consistency on fuller shots, while the 54-14F provides additional bounce for bunker play and softer conditions.
The 60-04L completes the set with a low-bounce option for delicate, high-lofted shots and tight lies.
Together, these wedges provide a balanced combination of stability, spin and shot-making versatility.
