The TaylorMade Milled Grind 5 (MG5) Golf Wedge is TaylorMade's softest and most advanced wedge to date, combining fully forged construction with cutting-edge spin technology for exceptional feel, precision and short-game control. Designed with feedback from the world's best players, the MG5 delivers the confidence and versatility needed to execute every shot around the green.
For the first time in the Milled Grind family, the MG5 is fully forged from soft carbon steel, creating an incredibly soft, responsive feel at impact while ensuring outstanding consistency from wedge to wedge. The precision forging process allows TaylorMade to produce tighter manufacturing tolerances, delivering the premium craftsmanship and performance demanded by better golfers.
The MG5 introduces aggressive Saw-Milled Grooves, engineered with steeper walls, sharper radii and ultra-tight tolerances to generate even more spin than previous Milled Grind models. The advanced groove geometry maximises friction at impact, helping produce exceptional stopping power on both full shots and delicate greenside play.
Maintaining spin in wet conditions is equally important, which is why the MG5 combines its RAW Face Technology with Spin Tread Technology. The raw face develops naturally over time while maintaining maximum groove performance, and the laser-etched Spin Tread channels help disperse moisture at impact. Working together, these technologies generate up to 13% more spin in wet conditions compared to the previous MG4 model while delivering more consistent launch and control.
The head shape has also been refined with a cleaner topline and improved leading-edge curvature, creating a more symmetrical profile that inspires confidence at address while maintaining excellent turf interaction.
To suit different swing types and course conditions, the MG5 is available in a comprehensive range of sole grinds, allowing golfers to choose the setup that best complements their technique and playing style.
