The Cleveland RTX ZipCore Wedge is a premium short-game club designed to deliver exceptional spin, precise distance control and consistent performance around the greens. Featuring Cleveland's innovative ZipCore technology, the wedge combines advanced weighting with tour-inspired shaping to provide outstanding feel and forgiveness.
With UltiZip Grooves, heat-treated face technology and a low-density core, the RTX ZipCore offers excellent versatility for approach shots, bunker play, chips and pitches. Its combination of control and forgiveness makes it suitable for golfers of all abilities.
ZipCore Technology
The RTX ZipCore features Cleveland's innovative low-density core, which replaces heavier steel within the hosel and heel section of the clubhead.
This allows weight to be redistributed, positioning the centre of gravity closer to the centre of the hitting area while increasing moment of inertia (MOI).
The result is improved stability, more consistent spin and better distance control, particularly on off-centre strikes.
UltiZip Groove Technology
Cleveland's UltiZip Grooves are engineered to maximise friction between the clubface and golf ball.
The grooves are sharper, deeper and positioned closer together, helping channel away moisture, grass and debris at impact.
This provides greater control over spin and trajectory, particularly when playing delicate shots around the green.
The tighter groove spacing also allows additional groove edges to interact with the ball for improved stopping power.
Heat-Treated Face for Lasting Performance
The RTX ZipCore features a specialised heat-treatment process designed to improve the durability of the clubface and grooves.
This treatment helps the groove edges maintain their effectiveness over time, supporting consistent spin performance through regular use.
For golfers who rely on precise short-game control, the additional durability provides confidence across a wide range of playing conditions.
Tour-Inspired Shape & Feel
The Cleveland RTX ZipCore features a refined, tour-inspired head shape designed to provide confidence at address.
Its traditional profile offers excellent versatility, allowing golfers to execute a variety of shots with control and precision.
The optimised centre of gravity also contributes to a solid, responsive impact sensation, providing valuable feedback on both full and partial swings.
Versatile Short Game Performance
The RTX ZipCore is designed to perform across a wide range of short-game situations.
Its advanced groove technology helps generate reliable spin on approach shots, while the forgiving head construction provides consistency on chips and pitches.
Different loft, bounce and sole grind configurations are available throughout the range, allowing golfers to select a wedge suited to their technique and typical course conditions.
This versatility makes the RTX ZipCore an excellent option for building a dependable wedge setup.
Who Should Play the Cleveland RTX ZipCore Wedge?
The Cleveland RTX ZipCore Wedge is ideal for golfers seeking greater spin, improved feel and more consistent short-game performance.
Its combination of forgiving weighting, precision grooves and tour-inspired shaping makes it suitable for a wide range of handicaps.
Golfers looking to improve distance control, stopping power and confidence around the greens will particularly benefit from its design.
