The Titleist TSR2 15° 3 Wood is a high-launching, highly versatile fairway wood engineered to deliver impressive ball speed, controlled spin and dependable performance from both the tee and fairway. Featuring an ultra-low, face-centred centre of gravity and refined all-steel construction, the TSR2 makes it easier to produce a strong, elevated trajectory without generating excessive backspin.
With its 15° loft, confidence-inspiring profile and Titleist SureFit Hosel, the TSR2 3 Wood provides an excellent combination of distance, forgiveness and adjustability. An innovative Open Hosel Construction removes unnecessary weight from high in the heel, allowing Titleist to optimise mass placement for improved launch, feel and overall performance.
Powerful 15° 3 Wood Performance
The 15° TSR2 provides the powerful distance expected from a traditional 3 wood while retaining the launch characteristics required for effective shots from the turf.
From the tee, it provides an excellent alternative to driver when greater accuracy and control are required. From the fairway, its low centre of gravity helps golfers launch the ball more easily when attacking longer targets.
This versatility makes the TSR2 15° an excellent option at the top end of the bag.
Ultra-Low, Face-Centred CG
One of the most significant developments within the TSR2 is its ultra-low, face-centred centre of gravity.
Titleist positioned the CG lower than in its previous all-steel fairway wood constructions, helping the club launch the ball more easily while maintaining controlled spin.
Positioning the CG closer to the centre of the face also helps produce more predictable performance through impact, creating a powerful combination of speed, launch and stability.
Open Hosel Construction
The TSR2 incorporates an innovative Open Hosel Construction that removes unnecessary mass from high in the heel section of the clubhead.
Saving weight in this area gives Titleist greater freedom to reposition mass lower within the head, contributing to the TSR2's exceptionally low centre of gravity.
The construction also helps refine the club's acoustics and impact sensation, producing the solid feedback expected from a premium Titleist fairway wood.
High-Strength Steel Construction
A high-strength steel construction provides the foundation for the TSR2's powerful performance.
The face is engineered to generate strong ball speeds while maintaining consistent performance across the hitting area.
Combined with the optimised internal weighting, this creates a fairway wood capable of producing impressive distance without requiring golfers to sacrifice the control and predictable flight needed when attacking greens.
High Launch with Controlled Spin
The TSR2 is designed to produce a high, powerful launch without excessive backspin.
This combination is particularly valuable in a 15° 3 wood, where insufficient launch can make shots from the fairway difficult while excessive spin can reduce overall distance.
The TSR2 balances these characteristics to create strong carry, an efficient trajectory and dependable long-game performance.
SureFit Hosel Adjustability
Titleist's proven SureFit Hosel allows golfers to fine-tune the TSR2 around their individual swing and desired ball flight.
The system provides independent adjustments to loft and lie through multiple settings, allowing launch, trajectory and directional characteristics to be refined.
For a 15° 3 wood that may be required to perform several different roles within the bag, this adjustability provides considerable fitting versatility.
Confidence-Inspiring Fairway Profile
The TSR2 features a clean, traditional shape designed to sit comfortably behind the golf ball.
Its medium-sized footprint provides enough visual reassurance to inspire confidence without becoming excessively large or cumbersome when played from a tight fairway lie.
The gloss-black crown and understated Titleist shaping create the premium, uncluttered appearance associated with the brand's metalwoods.
Excellent Performance from the Fairway
A major strength of the TSR2 3 Wood is its ability to perform effectively directly from the turf.
The ultra-low centre of gravity helps golfers produce sufficient launch from a fairway lie, while the head shape sits naturally behind the golf ball.
For golfers who regularly use a 3 wood for long approaches rather than exclusively from the tee, this combination provides valuable versatility.
Reliable Alternative from the Tee
The TSR2 15° is equally capable when used as a controlled driving club.
Its combination of strong ball speed, 15° loft and predictable trajectory can provide substantial distance while offering additional control compared with driver.
On narrow holes or whenever positioning takes priority over maximum distance, the TSR2 can provide a highly effective fairway-finding option.
Distance, Launch & Versatility
Rather than being designed exclusively around one performance characteristic, the TSR2 brings together the qualities required from a versatile modern fairway wood.
Fast ball speeds provide distance, the ultra-low CG assists launch, controlled spin creates an efficient flight and SureFit adjustability allows the setup to be personalised.
The result is a 3 wood capable of performing confidently from a wide variety of lies and situations throughout the round.
