At the heart of the G440 K is a new 32-gram adjustable back weight, allowing golfers to fine-tune ball flight by selecting Neutral, Draw or Fade settings. This innovative weighting system not only provides personalised shot-shape adjustment but also contributes to the highest level of forgiveness ever achieved in a PING adjustable driver.
Compared to the previous G430 MAX 10K, the G440 K features a back weight that is 4 grams heavier, positioning more mass around the perimeter of the clubhead. This lowers and deepens the centre of gravity while increasing MOI, producing greater stability, faster ball speeds and improved forgiveness across the face.
PING's advanced Dual Carbonfly Wrap construction combines a lightweight carbon crown and sole with innovative Free-Hosel Technology, reducing unnecessary weight from the crown, sole and hosel. The weight saved is strategically repositioned around the perimeter of the head, creating a deeper centre of gravity and higher MOI while increasing forgiveness and launch performance.
The innovative Free-Hosel Technology also removes weight from the heel section, allowing that mass to be repositioned elsewhere while increasing face flexibility in the heel area. This helps maintain impressive ball speeds on heel strikes, one of the most common mishit locations for many golfers.
Ball speed is further enhanced by PING's powerful T9S+ forged face, engineered to deliver faster speeds across a larger impact area while maintaining consistency on off-centre strikes.
To improve feel and acoustics, the G440 K incorporates a Composite Crown Bridge together with specially engineered Acoustic Sole Ribs. These structures stiffen the clubhead at impact while reducing unwanted vibrations, creating the solid, muted sound preferred by many golfers.
