The PING G430 SFT Driver is engineered specifically for golfers who struggle with a slice, excessive fade or persistent right-sided miss. Combining PING's renowned forgiveness with an adjustable Straight Flight Technology (SFT) weighting system, the G430 SFT helps square the clubface through impact and encourages a powerful right-to-left ball flight.
Featuring a 22-gram movable tungsten backweight, forged T9S+ face, Spinsistency Technology and Trajectory Tuning 2.0, the G430 SFT delivers excellent ball speed and stability while providing up to 20 yards of shot-shape correction.
Straight Flight Technology
The defining characteristic of the G430 SFT is PING's Straight Flight Technology, developed specifically to help golfers reduce a slice.
Strategic heel-side weighting moves the centre of gravity into a position that encourages the clubface to rotate more naturally through impact. This promotes a draw-biased ball flight and helps golfers produce straighter, more consistent drives.
Adjustable 22g Tungsten Backweight
Unlike previous SFT models with fixed weighting, the G430 SFT features a 22-gram movable tungsten backweight with two positions.
The Draw setting provides approximately 13 yards of right-to-left shot correction, offering noticeable assistance without creating an excessive draw.
For golfers requiring greater slice correction, the Draw+ setting increases the effect to approximately 20 yards, providing PING's strongest corrective setting within the driver.
This adjustability allows golfers to tailor the level of draw bias to their individual swing.
Forged T9S+ Face
The G430 SFT features a forged T9S+ titanium face with a thinner, shallower variable-thickness design.
This construction allows the face to flex more efficiently at impact, generating increased ball speed across a larger portion of the hitting surface.
The result is powerful distance with excellent ball-speed retention when contact isn't perfectly centred.
Spinsistency Technology
PING's innovative Spinsistency Technology uses a variable roll radius across the clubface to optimise spin depending on impact location.
The design is particularly effective on strikes low on the face, where drivers traditionally generate excessive spin and lose distance.
By controlling spin more effectively, the G430 SFT helps produce more consistent carry distances and predictable trajectories across a wider range of strikes.
Improved Sound & Feel
PING redesigned the internal structure of the G430 to create a more powerful and pleasing impact experience.
Strategically positioned internal ribs stiffen key sections of the crown, sole and clubhead body, reducing unwanted vibrations and producing a more solid, muted sound at impact.
Trajectory Tuning 2.0
The lightweight Trajectory Tuning 2.0 hosel provides eight different fitting configurations.
Golfers can adjust loft by up to ±1.5° while also modifying lie angle, allowing launch conditions and directional tendencies to be further fine-tuned.
Combined with the adjustable SFT backweight, this gives golfers extensive control over their preferred ball flight.
