The Mizuno Pro Fli-Hi Utility Iron is a premium long-iron replacement engineered to deliver effortless launch, exceptional ball speed and tour-level feel. Designed to blend seamlessly with the Mizuno Pro iron family, the Fli-Hi offers golfers the confidence and forgiveness of a hybrid while maintaining the precision and appearance of a traditional utility iron.
A favourite among Mizuno's tour professionals, the latest Fli-Hi features a redesigned Contour Ellipse Face, producing a higher COR and larger CORAREA for faster ball speeds and increased carry distance compared to previous generations. The result is explosive performance from the top end of the bag without sacrificing control.
Constructed from Nickel Chromoly 4335+, the hollow body design is heat treated to create an ultra-high-strength face that delivers outstanding ball speed while maintaining the soft, responsive feel Mizuno is renowned for. The hollow construction also increases forgiveness, making the Fli-Hi significantly easier to launch than a traditional long iron.
To further improve launch performance, Mizuno has increased the internal tungsten weighting from 23g to 26g, positioning the weight low in the clubhead to lower the centre of gravity. This creates a higher launch, increased peak height and improved stopping power, making long approach shots easier to control.
The innovative Offset Face Weld positions the weld line further back from the face, allowing greater face flex and increased ball speed on strikes low on the face, where many golfers commonly make contact with utility irons.
Maintaining Mizuno's legendary feel is Harmonic Impact Technology, which fine-tunes vibration frequencies to replicate the soft, solid sensation preferred by Mizuno's tour players. Combined with a refined topline and increased bounce angle for improved turf interaction, the Fli-Hi delivers exceptional feedback and consistency from a wide variety of lies.
The Mizuno Pro Fli-Hi comes fitted as standard with the premium Mitsubishi Tensei 1K Black 85 graphite shaft, specifically selected to maximise launch, speed and stability, together with the Golf Pride Multi Compound Teams Black/Grey grip.
